Instant Pot IP-DUO series is a 7-in-1 programmable cooker. It combines the functions of a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker/porridge maker, steamer, sauté/browning, yogurt maker and warmer.
Using the 14 built-in smart programs (Soup, Meat/Stew, Bean/Chili, Poultry, Sauté, Steam, Rice, Porridge, Multigrain, Slow Cook, Keep-Warm, Yogurt, Pasteurize and Fermented Rice), your favorite dishes are within the reach of pressing a button.
Green peas, sweet corn and baby carrots can be steamed in 2 to 3 minutes, fresh or frozen.

What we don’t like about the Instant Pot 7 in 1

If pressure is reached high Electrical current and Temp fuse cuts of its power, of course it is supposed to be for safety so it is all good but what happens that pressure cooker slowly shuts off and when one opens up the pressure cooker’s lid, food might be still uncooked. The best way around that we found is to check on look at lid and see lock is up indicating internal pressure. Once it is done, it is almost like set it and forget it mode.
Opening the lid can be bit tricky due to pressure suction lid and inner pot get suction. To best way to open the lift slightly tilt lid at the angle to break the pressure suction.
Although pressure cooker is safe, when first open it can release lot of heat due to pressure cooking, it is best that small kids do not open the lid early and handle it with caution.

It is hard to compare with other electrical rice cooker or pressure cooker, as instant pot is one of the unique electrical pressure cooker. We have used instant pot a few times a week and so far we have not had any problem with breaking or not working any time.

How to Clean Instant Pot 7 in 1?

Lid is hand wash only and little tricky to dry
Pressure release valve and internal valve can be yanked off to clean
Outer pot has trough near lid which can be tricky to clean
