We
1. Type of Cooking
Ask yourself if it is a set for your own kitchen or a friend? If it is for yourself, you already have general idea of your cooking and cleaning style is. You may want to ask your friend about his or her style so you know what type of cookware is best suited. For example, if they like to make an eggs every morning for breakfast, stainless steel pan may not be best suited for it. You want to get at least one hard anodized or non stick pan with the set you are buying.
2. Ease of Cleaning
Do you prefer to use dishwasher or cleaning or hand washing is fine with you? Some pots and pans are dishwasher safe, while other type of pots and pans will need only hand washing. Once I had bought non-stick cookware set, which got ruined in dishwasher as I had not read the instructions to only hand wash it. That was not smart and waste of money. Ease of cleaning is important feature for many cooks.
3. Material
What type of cookware material do you prefer? There are so many type of materials to choose from such as stainless steel, cast iron, non stick, copper and so on. We like hard anodized and clad material for its heat conductivity, ease of cleaning and durability.
4. Budget and Price
One can buy now cookware sets as cheap as $50 or as high as $2000. Before you search online, have a budget price in mind and see if you can get best price and buy it from that place.
We believe that reasonable price and good quality cookware set can last you long time, if maintained properly. Happy Cooking.
